| Budokon Academy Class with Sensei Ryan Carldon-Miah The Budokon Academy Extended Program (EP) is open to anyone who is interested in a full education within the Budokon yogic/martial/living arts system. The EP is open to all belt levels and welcomes beginners as well as experienced yogis, professional martial artists, and anyone in between. In the EP, students will start at the white belt level and work toward their black belt by attending weekly classes at a Budokon Academy certified training location. Each belt level (with the exception of Black) requires a minimum of 200 hours and takes a minimum of 6 months to complete. Students will cover the fundamental techniques that comprise the system at a slow and steady pace. The theme of this class is slowing down to master the basics. Advanced levels should also attend to keep the foundations solid! Flow and Flexibility - This class is breaking molds and traditional perceptions of hatha yoga. Budokon's dynamic blend of traditional and contemporary yoga asana and martial arts builds upon the yoga practitioner's base knowledge of traditional hatha yoga while challenging the practitioner to push past conventional yogic practices. Strength and Balance - If you love to play upside down and defy gravity or just really want to learn how, this class will blow your fears away. We will explore handstands, arm & leg balances and floating. This class builds arm, shoulder and leg strength while creating great range of motion in hamstrings and hips. Power and Agility - This class moves at a rapid pace seamlessly transitioning from the ground to standing, from yoga to martial arts, from acceleration to deceleration. Come and see what the two most ancient art forms merged together into one synergistic expression looks and feels like. Perfect for yogis, martial artists and athletes looking to raise the bar. This cardio inspired class builds explosive power, tones muscles and burns major calories. The Yoga Animal - The first to bring this type of training to the UK. Learn how finding the primoridal animal body can reunite the yogi with sustainable power, strength and awareness. This class will take the student through a number of Budokon animal movements related to spinal awakening, pelvic and shoulder girdle power and core stability. Intro To Academy - The Budokon Academy focuses on 6 pillars of study. Thoughts, Emotions, Relationships, Environment, Nutrition and Fitness. Participants start at White and work towards Black Belt. This class will take a look at what the Acadmey involves and give you the opportunity to see if its something you wish to persue further. |
